It is only appropriate that we use the world’s leading manufacturer of tools for eyelash extension tweezers.
- The curved and straight Dumont tools we use are handmade by the Dumont company in Switzerland
- They are precision tools with super fine points
- The material used to make them are an Inox stainless steel – strong and durable
- Both tools are resistant to corrosion and to high temperature sterilization
- They improve the separation process to achieve damage-free, long-term results
- The curved tool enhances the ease of small lash isolation
- The design of the tools reduces hand fatigue so you can work with them longer
- Application time will be shortened due to their enhanced accuracy of application
- They can be cleaned with an autoclave, dry heat sterilizer, acetone or alcohol
I want to add focus to the curved Dumont tool. I believe this is one of the best tools for eyelash extension application I have ever used. The design and shape of this tool fits effortlessly in the hard. Its light-weight design reduces your muscle fatigue when lashes for many hours at a time. The Inox steel means cleaning and sterilizing between clients can be done in a flash. The shape and hold of the tool feels like a high-end utensil that add to the proficiency of the service. I call it the Ferrari of eyelash extension tools.
Another great aspect of the tool – if a stylist is currently using a straight tool for isolation, transitioning over to the curved Dumont tool is effortless. The fine tip, precise curve of this tool is needed for expert isolation of the natural lashes. The shape of the tool mimics the shape of a straight tool yet the tip slants down, over the eye, to precisely isolate a natural lash. In my experience – students in class are able to easily switch over to this tool for isolation as it feels like a straight tool in the hand. But another benefit of this tool is the angle of use – a straight tool will exhaust the wrist quicker due to the position it is held on the forehead of the client. This Dumont curved tool will allow the wrist and hand to sit flatter on the forehead of the client – giving the stylist less fatigue and strain on the wrist!
Additional important fact about the Dumont curved tool is the assistance during the separation process. NovaLash stylists know that separation is a core foundation of our long-term, damage-free results as we are insuring there are no disruptions to the natural lashes growth cycles. Using this tool for the separation process will give the stylist a better opportunity to find little anagen lashes that might be stuck together. The formation of the fine tip will squeeze into the base of lashes or extensions stuck together as aid in the process of separation. A tool with a larger tip or a thicker base will not fit as well into smaller spaces between lashes or extensions.
In my opinion, the Dumont curved and straight tool is a must-have for all stylists. Using these tools will provide superior results for not only the lash artist but for the client in the application of their extensions.
As a student or lash technician, you have a choice when it comes to tweezers. Making the right decision will affect your hands, fingers, wrists and also the application of the extensions depending on how many sets you perform a day. If you experience muscle fatigue or wrist strain, a higher-quality tool will enhance lash application or help you with separation. A more advanced tool such as our Dumont curved and/or straight forceps may allow you to work smarter, not harder, when applying extensions.
